20 Questions with Nafis Muhammad
Pixel Journal: What’s the first thing you do every morning?
Nafis Muhammad: I stretch and drink beet juice (disgusting but super effective at waking the brain up and preparing for hardcore physics), but technically before I actually get out of bed I turn my phone alarm off and then check all the notifications.
PJ: What’s one thing on your bucket list?
NM: “dinner in the sky”- when I turn 18 this will be very fun!
PJ: Coke or Pepsi?
NM: Can we go with Sprite? No? Alright, Pepsi.
PJ: What’s did you want to be when you were a kid?
NM: I wanted to be a bunch of things, firefighter was one of the most prominent.
PJ: What could you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
NM: Crepes, guacamole, piña colada, and anything else including fruits (especially tropical).
PJ: If you could have coffee with any person, living or dead, who would it be?
NM: So many people I could choose from, but if just one, then former President Barack Obama.
PJ: Beyoncé or Rihanna?
NM: This is one of the hardest questions on here. I’ll go with Rihanna.
PJ: Kittens or Puppies?
NM: Kittens are super cute, but dogs/puppies will always be better.
PJ: What’s one thing no one knows about you?
NM: I’m a huge flirt and adrenaline junkie at times.
PJ: What’s one book you would recommend?
NM: A Separate Peace by John Knowles.
PJ: What’s the best song on your playlist right now?
NM: Loyalty - Kendrick Lamar and What Lovers Do - Maroon 5
PJ: Do you have a favorite movie?
NM: Nope, too hard to decide without careful analysis and systematic…yeah just no.
PJ: Who’s your favorite OHS teacher?
NM: Another hard question. I can’t choose between Dr. McKale and Dr. Drogalis.
PJ: What’s your favorite emoji?
NM: The wink with the tongue or the rose 😜🌹
PJ: What’s your biggest dream?
NM: I have a bunch of huge and even daunting dreams, but I think POTUS will be my hardest battle, and greatest achievement.
PJ: If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
NM: I would change the unaccepting and presumptuous nature that often characterizes the masses of people on the planet. I want them to understand each other, because when they truly and fully comprehend the lives of others, they will love and find peace all around them.
PJ: What’s your favorite OHS class?
NM: Democracy, Freedom, and Rule of Law
PJ: Graduation Weekend or Summer @ Stanford?
NM: I haven’t done either yet, but Summer @ Stanford seems most lit.
PJ: What do you want to do after high school?
NM: Go to University, of course.
PJ: Finally, what’s one piece of advice for OHSers?
NM: There are plenty of cool people to meet and interact with. Don’t be a loner who plays video games or does homework all day. Go meet people, have fun, we have a very unique environment here that is utterly priceless. I encourage everyone to be a part and continue the trend of awesomeness, and value the “OHS fam”!
