Letter from the Editor

Dear Reader,

Welcome back to school! Whether we are ready for it or not, it’s here at full speed. To our returning students, welcome back!  For our new students, you're in for quite a ride!

Despite the academic rigor, OHS is truly a wonderful place to be. Although the Canvas to-do list may never seem to end, I am excited to see our vibrant school community grow even stronger than last year and our new teachers so enthusiastic during the start of classes. Regardless of whether you are a first-timer or a grizzled veteran, we can also use the new school year to reflect on personal growth.

What do we want to accomplish by the end of the year? Are you focused on getting the highest GPA possible, cultivating deeper friendships, achieving greater balance between school and extracurriculars, or even finding your own path navigating the online environment? Before we get too deep into the work, make sure to spend time thinking of what will make you proud when you reflect at the end of May.

For this shorter back-to-school issue, we provide an introduction to our wonderful 2021-2022 Editorial Board Members to get to know them as people as well as their roles within the magazine! In addition, we also have back-to-school advice from our very own Student Body President and Vice President, Jeevet and Lexi, and a fun August playlist full of fun background tracks to accommodate our first few study sessions.
