Letter from the Editor

Dear Reader,

It’s hard to believe that we are going into our last month of school!

Even though this time of the year can often be one of the most stressful, take a moment to appreciate just how far you’ve come. Think back to yourself last August, and how you might have been unable to imagine where this school year would take you. Now, look at where you’ve ended up! Congratulations are in order and we are in the final stretch.

In thinking broadly about this past year, don’t forget to also appreciate the small and seemingly minute, whether it’s seeing your peers in your classes each week or going to your favorite club meetings every Friday. You won’t get to take those classes again and as people come and go, you won’t always get the chance to come together with those same faces in the same way again.

As we enjoy these last few weeks of school as best as we can, this issue of the Pixel Journal takes a look at some of the unique memories we made. In the Culture column, read about the incredible experiences OHS students and instructors had while visiting Yellowstone National Park and New Orleans over Spring Break. Also in Culture, take a peek into the present as OHSers prepare for upcoming AP exams and have a look at the future with Seniors’ Next Steps. In our Stories column, we feature an interview with Molly (’27), the founder of the OHS Queer Liberation Society, and in the Clubs column, we spotlight the recently established Filipino Student Alliance.

Best of luck with final essays and exams!

Eryn
