Letter from the Editor
Dear Reader,
This is a challenging time of the year with midterms and major assignments appearing on the horizons. Additionally, many OHSers are receiving decisions regarding college admissions and internship applications. Amidst all this, it is helpful to remember that we are part of a supportive community.
Although reaching out to not just instructors but also your peers may seem like a daunting prospect, especially at OHS, I hope you know that everyone is extremely welcoming and just like you, they may also be yearning for a check-in.
This theme is certainly highlighted in this month’s issue of the Pixel Journal. In our stories column, we feature both our past and current student body, with spotlights on Valentina Juricek ’23 and Lexi MacRury ’24. In the culture column, read about how Pixel Festival was planned and a recap from all the students who attended, the OHS community’s thoughts about Valentine’s Day and its traditions, as well as the APASU’s Chinese Language Culture event in celebration of Lunar New Year.
Wishing everyone the best of luck on midterms and to my fellow seniors, college decisions!
Yours,
April
