The Mythology of Persephone and Hades Contest Winners
The Mythology Circle recently held a contest about the myth of Persephone and Hades. Anyone could enter a creative piece about the topic for a chance to be one of three winners featured in the Pixel Journal. Leader Jillian Bross (‘27) tells us that they “had some incredible submissions but we did manage to narrow it down to five winners.” Below, we have featured the artwork of the first, second, and third place winners.

Honorable Mentions
The honorable mentions will not have their submissions published in this article but will be recognized for their amazing submissions. The first runner-up is Ellie Wang. Bross tells us Wang “painted two red, juicy pomegranates!” The second runner-up is Julie Werner, who drew a fabulous picture of Hades and Persephone!
Thank you to all who participated, and thank you to our judges! We hope to do another contest next year, so stay tuned for that and have a great summer!
